Shannon O’Brien is a board-certified PA-C working in OBGYN. Born and raised locally in Chandler, Arizona, Shannon graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2019. Shannon spent two years in the workforce, working in a molecular research lab at ASU before deciding to pursue her passions in healthcare. She then got her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. In June 2023, she graduated with her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS), passed her board licensing exam and became a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C). From a young age Shannon has long felt a calling to dedicate herself to a career in women’s health. Being a native Arizonan, she has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by women in Arizona. She prides herself in approaching each of her patients as a unique individual with unique problems that are more than just a constellation of symptoms they present to the clinic with. Shannon’s lived experiences have culminated in her current status as an OBGYN PA-C with us here at Arizona Maternity Clinic where she has spent her entire career practicing, working every day to ensure every woman she provides healthcare for is truly cared for.
